SARASOTA, FL — (March 16, 2022) – mctlaw announces the addition of attorney Catherine Costigan to the Firm’s Vaccine Injury practice. Ms. Costigan comes to mctlaw from the New York County Defender Services with extensive experience as a lead attorney, representing clients in felony and misdemeanor cases and trials. She successfully represents clients in tough settlement or plea negotiations and makes sure they understand the consequences of settlement or plea offers. Ms. Costigan believes it’s important to counsel her clients from a place of empathy. “I want to be a safe haven for people intimidated by the legal process,” says Costigan.
Costigan earned her law degree from Rutgers University and served as a trial assistant for the New York County Defender Services, as well as advocated for incarcerated youth at Rutgers Criminal & Youth Justice Clinic. She is licensed to practice law in the United States Court of Federal Claims, Washington, D.C., New York, and New Jersey, and will work out of the Firm’s Washington, DC office.
